Cobra Kai creators tease 'exciting conclusion' for part two and three of final season
The first part of Cobra Kai's season six landed on Netflix last month with fans being able to stream the first five episodes
As fans wait with bated breath for the second and third parts of the final season of Cobra Kai, the creators have teased what's to come as the much-loved series draws to a close. Jon Hurwitz, one of the head producers alongside Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald, told The Hollywood Reporter: "There’s a lot more going on, both on and off the mat.
"So, there’s a lot of fun to be had and, as we head into the third drop, I can’t speak to the specifics… but the goal in the final episodes is to land this mothership. To land Johnny and Daniel’s stories. And the stories of these kids. For the kids, it’s their senior year of high school and we wanted to take them through that year and have the Johnny and Daniel story that started in 1984 come to a fulfilling and exciting conclusion."
The creator went on to tease the possibility of the show creating spin-offs for certain characters and said the series ending "doesn’t mean that we won’t be able to see these characters again in the future."
For the sixth and final season, Netflix decided to split the show into three parts, with five episodes per instalment. The next five episodes are set to drop in November while the final five episodes will air on the streaming platform next year. After binge-watching the five episodes, fans were left "annoyed" over now having to wait until November for the next five.
Cobra Kai viewers have flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to air their frustrations over having to wait four months for the next set as fans all said the same thing. One unamused X user commented: "It doesn't even feel like Cobra Kai is back cause we have to wait 4 months for another 5 episodes then another 4 months for another 5 episodes."
Another person agreed: "Loved Cobra Kai season 6 so far but annoyed now have to wait til November for more lol." (sic)
Somebody else bemoaned: "Bro having to wait 2 years for season 6 to get 5 episodes and have to wait another 4 months for another 5 episodes is absolutely mind boggling to me! #CobraKaiSeason6 #cobrakai."
Yet another fan expressed: "Seriously, you only give me five episodes and then tell me see you in November to cont! #CobraKai."
However, despite having to wait until November, fans were thoroughly impressed with the first five episodes as one social media user wrote: "So I'm finally done watching part 1! And wow...
"This is insane.. November 15th couldn't come any sooner. @jonhurwitz @McSchlossberg @healdrules.. this is really something! #CobraKai #CobraKaiSeason6."
While a content fan said: "Cobra Kai season 6 is one of their best!! I freaking loved the dynamic of the characters!
"But losing Tory again for this peace bulls**t is p***ing me off they should have listened to Johnny... I cried the end of ep 5... I literally can't wait till November 15 #CobraKaiSeason6."
Cobra Kai season six part one is available to stream on Netflix now.
