Jeremy Clarkson has taken to X (formerly Twitter) with a snap of The Grand Tour trio filming the final episode of the hit show.

The Amazon Prime Video series follows the former Top Gear presenters as they embark on various adventures on wheels all over the world.

Their latest road trip, Sand Job, was filmed in the Western Sahara Region and released in February this year.

In November 2023, it was reported that Jeremy, 64, and his co-stars James May and Richard Hammond had finished filming their last ever episode of the series.

Jeremy has now revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the finale, which was filmed in Zimbabwe.

He shared a dramatic snap of the three presenters sitting on a large rock overlooking a sweeping desert landscape.

All three wore sunglasses to shade their eyes from the African sun and looked adventure-ready in matching brown boots.

His simple caption read: “Filming the new GT #thegrandtour.”

It’s unknown when the photo was taken, but it’s unlikely the trio have returned to Zimbabwe for more filming as Jeremy confirmed he was in the Cotswolds this week on Instagram.

However, the update has still provided fans with their first clear look at what could be in store when the final episode arrives later this year.

Many took to the comments to share their excitement, with one viewer replying, “The last episode of the trio [salute emoji].”

“Actually going to miss you 3 messing about in cars Sir..... Its been an absolute pleasure watching,” another commented.

A rather sad fan replied: “This is it guys, end of an era” with a downcast emoji.

“Great news , great tv & all 3 back together. Can't wait,” a fourth fan said.

Although Jeremy, James and Richard are departing the series, The Grand Tour fans may have reason to be hopeful as reports emerged in April that the show could continue with a new presenting lineup.

Plus, there’s also a fourth season of Clarkson’s Farm in the works after the third outing was released in May.

The Grand Tour is available to stream on Prime Video.
