Eamonn Holmes says he's had a 'tough' few years
Eamonn Holmes is reportedly struggling to adjust to his new life following the end of his marriage.
According to a close friend, the GB News presenter has moved into a “small flat near a roundabout” after leaving the home he shared with his now estranged wife Ruth Langsford.
Due to ongoing mobility issues, he is chauffeured to and from the GB News studios in Paddington, West London.
Friends have expressed concern for the 64-year-old, suggesting that he's leading a “pretty solitary existence. “
A source told the Daily Mail: “It's all a rather sorry affair. It was only a few months ago he was living in his lovely family home with Ruth.
“Yes, they were troubled, but she was caring for him and he had some kind of normality, now, he is alone in a flat living a pretty solitary existence.
“His marriage ending after such a long time has been something he has found difficult to accept.”
This news follows Eamonn's return to the public eye after the announcement of his split with Ruth.
He recently made his first public appearance at the annual TRIC Awards, where he denied making any derogatory comments about Ruth during his stage speech.

On Tuesday, Eamonn graciously accepted a prestigious award and expressed his gratitude: "Thank you very much for this award. We were up against world-class programmes and that makes it a little bit more special. Sometimes we all think about imposter syndrome.”
He also spoke on his personal health struggle, revealing: “I went for an operation a year and a half ago and it went wrong. I got two things in my back that I didn't want.”
Despite the swirling rumours, Ruth Langsford was reportedly “hurt” by Eamonn's remarks, although it was clarified that his “comments had nothing to do with her.”
A representative for Eamonn told The Mirror: “Eamonn's comments had nothing to do with anything other than the two pins in his back after his surgeries.”
At the star-studded event, Eamonn opened up about his recent separation, admitting the difficulty of the situation: “I'm not OK. This is not a good time at all.”
He additionally shared his hopes for the future relationship with his ex-partner: "It's too early to say but I hope we can still be friends."
Following the announcement of their split, Ruth has been spotted still wearing her dazzling engagement and wedding bands and was all smiles in a recent photo with Strictly’s Anton Du Beke.
Eamonn has sought the guidance of relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, who has been helping the star “through the tough times but doesn't want to be seen as a marriage wrecker.”
Express.co.uk has contacted Eamonn's representatives for further comment.
