ITV fans moaned about Ranvir Singh's "annoying habit" on Lorraine, as the presenter stepped in during Friday's installment. Usually Ranvir replaces Lorraine Kelly as she takes Fridays off.

The 46-year-old spoke to Ade Edmonson and also discussed the latest topics including the Glastonbury line-up, the outbreak of E. coli and Gwyneth Paltrow's latest health hack where she encourages fans to drink raw milk.

However, fans complained within seconds about Ranvir's habit of holding a suspected empty coffee mug. One person moaned: "Ranvir and that b****y mug so annoying #lorraine."

A second person also chimed in: " @GMB just seen the intro for #lorraine with Ranvir. Before the program starts can you please tell her to put the b***y mug down that she is already holding. It's not endearing it's annoying. Thanks in advance."

Also during the programme, Ranvir spoke to Doctor Amir Khan about the latest death case from E. Coli. He warned viewers what symptoms to look out for and how harmful it is if you digest the bacteria by accident.

In similar news, Ranvir told her fans earlier this week that she recieved an "unsettling" phone call from a stranger who asked for her bank details.

Detailing the ordeal on Instagram, she penned on her official story: "Just had a scam call from a polite man saying "Hi, I am calling from your bank *names it* and I just wanted to check if there's been a fraud attempt on your card?

"Have you tried to pay £16.24 on Uber Eats?" Me: "Oh no, I haven't." Man: "Right okay, are these the last four digits on your card *correctly says the four digits* Me: "Erm, yes."

Ranvir then details that her suspicion kicks in. She continues: "He says, "Have you got your card with you? I can confirm your address and date of birth now if you have your card?"

Ranvir then says that she "put the phone down" and called her bank number stored in her app. She then said "Phew," as she then said that she got her card changed but described the ordeal as "unsettling."

There have been a rise in cases where fraudsters pretend to be a police officer or bank staff, according to Llyods Bank.

These scams often begin with a phone call, text message or email. They may also get in touch via social media and on average in 2023 victims of impersonation scams lost on average of £3,000.

Lorraine airs on weekdays at 9am on ITV and ITVX.
