This Morning: Cat and Ben open the show

This Morning is bracing for a significant reshuffle as Dermot O'Leary has withdrawn from his usual Friday slot alongside Alison Hammond. The 51 year old presenter, who typically takes over from Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley every Friday, will be substituted by Josie Gibson on tomorrow's show [June 14].

However, ITV may need to pull out all the stops to keep this dynamic duo intact, after it was reported BBC is attempting to lure Alison away. The broadcaster has allegedly offered the star, who has been a fan favourite since joining the daytime programme in 2002, her own travel show.

Rumours are also circulating that it could air at the same time as This Morning. The BBC has already secured Alison for a celebrity interview series titled Alison Hammond's Big Weekend, where she spends 48 hours with a well-known personality, delving into their world.

Reports suggest that the travel show is the ideal gig for the 49 year old mother of one, given her previous experience as a holiday representative before joining Big Brother in 2002, reports the Mirror.

TV insider told The Sun: "This is a continuing nightmare for ITV as Alison is seen by them as one of their biggest stars - but she's increasingly working for their rivals. The travel show is the latest tempting offer she's taken up with BBC execs revelling in the fact they can put it head-to-head with This Morning."

They added: "It could lead to the situation where Alison can be seen hosting the daytime magazine show on ITV while simultaneously being seen over on BBC One."

The travel show is called Florida Unpacked and it's set to focus on the US Sunshine State but another series could take Alison to another part of the world.

Filming is due to start next month and continue throughout September. It's expected to air next year.

Alongside This Morning, the sought after star also hosts For The Love Of Dogs and Great British Bake Off. But aside from her successful career, her life away from the cameras has come under the spotlight as it's believed she has split with her toyboy boyfriend.

Earlier this month, fans believed the presenter had hinted that she had split from David Putnam, following a cryptic message on social media.

Despite the 20-year age gap that initially stirred conversation, their relationship appeared to be flourishing. However, recent hints suggest otherwise.

The couple seems to be spending increasing amounts of time apart, with this separation becoming noticeable when he reportedly celebrated his birthday alone in Lake Como, without his TV presenter partner.

Fans, striving for an explanation during an online Q&A session, posed numerous questions to Alison about her personal affairs. Still, she remained reserved in her responses.

Responding to a query about her happiness, she subtly stated, "Happiness comes from within."
