Celine Dion was the picture of elegance at a screening of her new documentary I Am: Celine Dion amid her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.

The legendary My Heart Will Go One songstress kept her health struggles a secret for 17 years until she went public with her diagnosis in 2022.

Fans have now been given more insight into her challenging personal life than ever before, with the documentary expecting to lift the lid on how her SPS battle has affected her career when it releases on Amazon Prime Video next week.

Celine, 56, looked radiant in an all-cream ensemble for the special screening on Monday night in New York City.

The iconic blonde beauty wore a cream top and matching maxi skirt, smiling warmly for the cameras.

She kept her hair long and flowing over her shoulders and accessorised with a silver belt and diamond bracelets. She added simple earrings and a chunky ring to finish off the chic outfit.

Her son René-Charles ‘RC’ Angélil, 23, also attended the screening to support his famous mum.

Celine’s documentary film will be available to stream on Prime Video from Tuesday, June 25.

However, diehard fans also have the chance to see it on the big screen at 30 Vue cinemas in the UK from today (June 18) for a limited theatrical run.

According to Digital Spy, the film directed by Irene Taylor will show fans Celine’s “journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.”

The description goes on: “As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have realised how much I have missed it, of being able to see my fans.

“During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life to help others who share this diagnosis.”

SPS is a rare disorder that affects people’s muscles and causes some individuals to become too disabled to walk.

They can also be more vulnerable to falls and become seriously injured, and the condition also causes more sensitivity to noises, which can trigger muscle spasms, emotional stress and touch.

Despite the painful challenges of SPS, Celine is still determined to return to the stage, telling Hoda Kotb: “It didn’t take anything away from me. I’m going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will.

“I am Céline Dion, because today my voice will be heard for the first time, not just because I have to, or because I need to. It’s because I want to and I miss it.”
