Britain's Got Talent fans all say same thing about Amanda Holden and Simon's outfits

Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell was compared to a "refuse collector" just minutes into tonight's episode of the ITV show. Fans were full of admiration for Amanda Holden's latest look after yesterday's outfit drew embarrassing comparisons to a children's slinky toy.

The hot pink strapless dress left little to the imagination, and fans took to Twitter to rave that she looked like she should have been the star of the Barbie movie. "Whistle whistle Amanda has gone all Barbie tonight #justsaying #BGT," one follower exclaimed.

"Amanda looks like Barbie tonight #britainsgottalent #bgt," a second chimed in, comparing her to Margot Robbie. Although there was a unanimous verdict about her "beautiful" looks, fans weren't willing to say the same about down-to-earth-looking Simon Cowell.

"Alesha and Amanda are expected to get dolled up. Simon is dressed like a refuse collector. #BGT!" one viewer exclaimed. No stranger to a plain all-black outfit, the most striking aspect of tonight's ensemble might have been his bright red glasses, which he uses to stop the stage lights giving the migraine-prone music mogul head pain.

One characteristic of migraines is a sensitivity to light, and some vision experts believe the red tint can help to block triggering green and blue light. Simon had previously taken to Instagram to clarify after becoming amused by fan reports about his "mystery illness".

"For anyone concerned, I missed two auditions at the end of one day... Because I do get migraines after long days in the filming lights," he explained at the time.

"I have lights in my eyes all day long and it’s like a laser and I get migraines and that’s like a filter." He then confidently declared: “They actually do work!"

Meanwhile, although Simon was dressed in his usual black T-shirt and now trademark red-tinted glasses, Amanda's outfit got a much more complementary reaction than on previous nights.

Previous outfits have drawn a string of Ofcom complaints for being too provocative and revealing.

Yesterday, puzzled fans were also bemused by the sleeves of her dress having a surprising similarity to a slinky.

"Dresses just seem to get more ridiculous,” one fan exclaimed, while another joked that the outfit was "having a fight with itself”.

However, this evening, viewers were mesmerised, with one declaring: "Mandy you look absolutely stunning, beautiful!"
