Casualty fans 'figure out' Patrick Onley's agenda as Rash Masum tackles him over sabotage
Things have been strained in Holby ED since the new clinical lead joined just over a month ago.
Casualty: Rash confronts Patrick about using a hidden clamp in surgery
Casualty fans were vocal about their dislike of Clinical Lead Patrick Onley (Jamie Glover) as he continued to reveal his true colours in the latest edition of the long-running BBC medical drama. In previous weeks he has clashed with Dylan Keogh (William Beck) and left him doubting his abilities after insisting he is autistic.
After a whistleblower released footage to a TV company for a documentary Dylan is convinced that he has evidence Patrick made the error he was accused of and has drafted in Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) to help expose him. However in tonight's episode Patrick also had her questioning her abilities.
However this time there was a witness as Rash Masum (Neet Mohan) saw him clamping a line going into a patient and then removing it slyly. The young doctor confronted him about it in the elevator but Patrick completely denied it.
He then went on to confront Dylan and Stevie about their efforts to bring him down. Claiming they were both failed clinical leads the pair looked shocked as he yielded his accusations.
While his motives aren't yet clear, it is obvious he is up to something. Viewers had a lot of thoughts and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their theories.
@TweetieeTy pondered: "Is he tryna get this place shut down? What the hells going on? #Casualty." @Gmackematix had a similar thought querying: "What is Patrick's end game here? If he keeps doing little sabotages that make his staff look incompetent, he'll end up very short staffed. #Casualty." (sic)
Meanwhile @nat_1983 had an even darker theory wondering: "Does Patrick has munchousens by proxy? Intentionally harming someone then steamrolling in to the rescue and to be the hero, a la Lucy Letby and Beverly Allit? (Although I know they were nurses and not drs) #casualty." (sic)

Elsewhere in the episode Teddy Gowan (Milo Clarke) faced further humiliation when the video of his recent sexual assault was released online.
Although colleagues who had seen it tried to empathise, he refused to open up to anyone about his feelings.
Jacob Masters (Charles Venn) faced every guardian's nightmare when his grandson appeared to have swallowed a trolley token from his keychain. This led to a dash to the ED and a once-over for the tot to put his mind at rest.
And Ngozi Okoye (Adesuwa Oni) found herself put out when her friend Nicole Piper (Sammy T Dobson) seemed to push her aside in favour of the woman she is acting as a surrogate for.
Casualty airs new episodes on BBC One on Saturday night with previous episodes available to watch on the BBC iPlayer.
