He went on: "It's weird going on national TV and asking my brother but it's quite funny because the family... we're so dysfunctional me and Luke at times.
"We haven't spoken for about four months now...five months and when we were talking, we were talking about a new album.
"We're talking to a couple of production companies at the moment to do a follow-up of After the Screaming Stops.
"But actually make new music, so take away the nostalgic side and actually go back on stage, and actually, what we really want to do is be on stage together."

"That documentary was so well received," Ben pointed out. "We were all really looking forward to the two of you being back together."
"And then we fell out again," Matt said as a photo of the duo appeared on screen.
"Who needs to make the first move, Matt?" Susanna went on to ask
He replied: "I'm on TV right now. I think that I'm trying so I mean it's not that bad in the fact that we can't find a way but I don't want to be coming on TV and say, 'Oh, it's all great' if it's not."
"Good for you for being honest," Susanna praised. "Luke, I hope that you and Matt make up and make it work.
"We love you and we want to see you happy. It's not good when families break down and you two were so close and you love him."
"I love him with my heart," Matt added.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
