Donald Trump: Piers Morgan grills ex-adviser on mask policy
Kellyanne Conway was involved in a brutal clash with Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan after she was challenged into justifying Donald Trump's strategy to combat the pandemic. Amid the intense questioning, the former White House Adviser was forced to admit she "should have done more" to push President Trump into taking a stronger stance to help Americans. Mr Morgan repeatedly questioned Ms Conway about her own failures, especially in regards to bypassing the use of face masks despite scientific advice advocating for their use.
Mr Morgan said: "Instead of taking it seriously, you were all super-spreading around with no mask. Most of you got it and some of you nearly died from it.
"It was crazy. What was going on? What was the mindset?"
Ms Conway said: "I wish I had worn a mask more consistently, and I do."
The answer did not appease the GMB host, who hit back: "Why didn't you, out of interest, Kellyanne? You're a smart lady, you just spent five minutes telling us how seriously you were all taking it in there. Why didn't you wear a mask in public more often?"

She replied: "I was trying to do that at important junctures, the billions of dollars..."
Which prompted Piers Morgan to intervene again: "I get all that. Hang on, let me ask a question. Why didn't you wear a mask more often in the White House, on show?"
Ms Conway ultimately said: "I will tell you, looking back, I wish I had done it more often. There's no question.
"I think we trick ourselves every day by having regular testing. We were tested every single day."

Melania Trump's image was 'crafted' says former adviser
The intense questioning even had Ms Conway reconsider her decision to participate in the programme: "I was invited to talk about the new Administration, I didn't know it would be like this."
The former White House Adviser quit her position in the summer but came back into the spotlight after it was revealed several members of her family had contract Covid after she attended a Rose Garden event in October.
The clash with Mr Morgan came the day after Donald Trump stepped down as US President after four years in charge.
Mr Trump skipped the traditional inauguration ceremony in Washington DC in favour of travelling to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida with wife Melania Trump.
Speaking from the Joint Base Andrews in Maryland before leaving Washington DC, Mr Trump added: "What we've done has been amazing by any standard.
"We rebuilt the United States military, we created a new force, a space force, that in itself will be a major achievement for a regular administration and we were not a regular administration.
