Strictly: Karen reveals her hand injury is a ‘candle burn’
Despite showing some improvement with their American Smooth to Night and Day during last week’s Strictly Come Dancing earning a respectable 17 points, it wasn’t enough to save Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer from the dreaded dance-off as they went up against Jacqui Smith and Anton Du Beke. Fortunately, Karen and Jamie were saved by the judges and are preparing a Charleston to Ze
The pair joined Zoe Ball on It Takes Two this evening to reflect on the dance-off and look towards their next routine.
It wasn’t long before Zoe spotted a bandage on Karen’s hand and checked if she was feeling okay.
Zoe asked: “Hand in a bandage? Is it okay? What have you done?”
“Ah yeah just a little candle burn,” Karen explained showing off her bandaged hand.

Turning to Jamie, Zoe demanded to know: “Is that your fault as well?”
“I’m okay,” Karen assured the presenter as Jamie joked: “She’s just ruined our sympathy vote. what are we going to do now?”
Karen faked pain as she told him: “I’m sorry! Please vote for us.”
The pair will be hoping that their Hercules-inspired routine will wow both judges and viewers to avoid the bottom two once more.
Speaking about his performance last weekend, Jamie told Zoe: “Honestly, I said to Karen I am so nervous, I don;t know what to do and she just said ‘Relax and have fun.’
“I thought this experience is about having fun and just going for it and not worry about anything and so I kind of want to just go, you know what, I get to dance with this lady.”
Jamie added however that he still struggles to understand some of the dance terminology.
He confessed: “It’s gibberish! Honestly it doesn’t make sense.
