Who Wants To Be A Millionaire fans stunned by player's 'savage' Jeremy Clarkson jibe
WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? is back with a brand new set of episodes hosted by Jeremy Clarkson. But today’s episode saw one contestant make a dig at his weight, although Jeremy didn’t seem to mind.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Clarkson takes swipe at Hammond
Contestant Anna was the third contestant to try her hand at winning some money on the ITV competition today.
But as she and Jeremy had a bit of banter in between the questions, she had a slight dig at Jeremy’s size.
It came as Jeremy asked her about the ins and outs of her job as a digital retoucher, questioning as to whether she made people thinner or not.
She replied: “Sometimes I make them thinner, sometimes I make them fatter.”
Can you make me thinner
Jeremy then asked: “Can you make me thinner?”
“I’m not a wizard,” Anna hit back.
While the crowd sounded equally amused and shocked, Jeremy took it all in his stride as he said: “I think that was fair enough.”
But those watching at home were quick to comment on the moment on Twitter.
“DAMN. Savage contestant we have here! #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire,” one exclaimed.
Another joked: “Ha Jezza is going to go wrong on purpose on his question now after that quip! #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”
“She’s savage...nice though #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire,” a third opined.
A fourth observed: “Wouldn’t like to get on the wrong side of this Lady #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”
Today’s programme also saw Jeremy have a swipe of his own as he made a joke about fellow The Grand Tour star Richard Hammond.
It came as Jeremy helped the second contestant, Anne, up to her seat.
The player got onto a small box so she could get up on the chair, and Jeremy couldn’t help but have a little dig at his colleague.
“We used these boxes for Richard Hammond when I worked with him, don’t you worry about that,” he joked.
Unfortunately, Anne lost out on a question after going 50:50 and ended up going home with just £1,000, although she didn’t seem too upset about it.
“Have you had a nice time?” Jeremy asked.
“I’ve had a brilliant time,” she said.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
