DEATH IN PARADISE was back on BBC One this evening and fans were delighted to see Richard Blackwood’s cameo following Florence Cassell’s exit.

Death In Paradise aired another episode this evening on BBC One, and it saw DI Jack Mooney (played by Ardal O’Hanlon) and his team attempting to solve yet another perplexing murder.
Tonight episode started with the local radio DJ being murdered during a live broadcast, however, if that wasn’t enough, Mooney was also under investigation following Florence Cassell’s (Josephine Jobert) shooting.
However, the episode also featured a surprise cameo from former EastEnders actor Richard Blackwood.
Richard was playing the radio station’s manager Carlton Brown, and he was almost immediately a suspect in Mooney’s eyes.
The minute Richard appeared on-screen, fans took to Twitter to comment on his appearance.
One viewer said: “Richard Blackwood causally strolling in with a thick Jamaican accent #DeathInParadise.”
Another said: “Well that's a nice surprise, @RB_Official appearing in @deathinparadise.”
A third viewer said: “Ohmagherd. Richard Blackwood is guesting on #DeathInParadise.”
“Gwwwon @RB_Official great to see you on #deathinparadise! Who da ma’n,” added one more viewer.
One more viewer wrote: “Richard Blackwood in #deathinparadise... Genius.”
Another fan tweeted: “Richard Blackwood and Stuart Naysmith #dreamteam in this week's #DeathinParadise Treat.”
Death In Paradise fans were distraught when Florence left the show in such an abrupt manner.
She was left fighting for her life after having been shot, and it was revealed in the opening moments of last week’s episode of the BBC drama her fiancé Patrice Campbell (Leemore Marrett Jr) had been killed.
Over the years, the show has welcomed many famous guest stars to the sunny shores of Saint Marie, some of the killers and some as murders of horrific murders.

However, they aren’t the only faces to star in the drama filmed on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, as Tim has explained how the team have introduced some of the local talent to create the entirety of the supporting cast.
Tim told What’s On TV: “I think at the start they were slightly baffled by us, then when French TV started showing Death in Paradise it all made sense to them.”
Though it isn’t just in front of the camera, the locals of the island have been drawn into as they make up half of the crew as well as graduates from a local film school being included in the production.
That said, fans will be hoping that the show will be able to find a replacement for Florence sometime soon.
Death in Paradise continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
