X Factor 2018: Robbie Williams confuses viewers with unusual outfit
X FACTOR viewers were left confused in the opening moments of tonight’s show, when it appeared Robbie Williams had decide to stand out from the rest of his fellow judges with his fashion choice.
The X Factor: Contestant STOPS audition over gaffe
Robbie, 44, took to the X Factor panel alongside his wife Ayda Field, 39, Louis Tomlinson, 26, and Simon Cowell, 58.
However, there was one stark difference in the pop star from the rest of the judges.
As the second episode of the weekend got under way, viewers were questioning Robbie’s fashion choices.
Taking his seat, it seemed that Robbie was wearing what viewers were describing as "pyjamas".
Nice pyjamas Robbie. #XFactor
What made Robbie’s choice of clothes stand out even more was that the rest of the panel were all wearing white.
Robbie had been wearing a blazer with a floral print, which could have been mistaken as a silk robe.
Taking to Twitter, fans of the ITV show aired their opinions on the fashion choice.
One wrote: “Nice pyjamas Robbie. #XFactor.”
“Wait a minute…why is Robbie wearing his pyjamas? #XFactor,” a second questioned.
A fourth commented: “Why is Robbie judging in his pj’s?! #XFactor.”
Referring to the rest of the panel, another added: “Let's all wear white and not tell Robbie #XFactor.”
Away from the fashion worries, the judges were blown away by the first act of the night.
Olatunji ‘Ola’ Yearwood from Trinidad and Tobago got the seal of approval from Simon when he sang his original song Bodyline.
Not only were the judges impressed, but the audience raised the roof for the singer, who had to stop the audition when it first began.
As he prepared to get his audition under way, Ola realised that the wrong song was playing and put the wrong to right.
The second act of the night was 21-year-old Brendan Murray from Galway Ireland.
Brendan did have a musical past, having tasted fame as part of a group.
However, he was hoping to get back in the spotlight with his rendition of We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off by Ella Eyre.
Simon stopped the audition and gave Brendan some more time to learn a second song to try and impress them.
On his return, Brendan struggled with the words and had to have the song sheet with him as he sang Kate Bush's Woman’s Work.
With his confidence back, the Irishman got four yeses from the judges.
X Factor continues next Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
