TV Doctor Michael Mosley dies aged 67

In a heart-wrenching interview, the cameraman who stumbled upon the body of beloved This Morning doctor Michael Mosley has tearfully spoken out to the star's family and described what he saw, after making the dark discovery during the five-day search for the 67-year-old.

Tragedy struck earlier today as it was announced that a body had been found in the ongoing search for the much-loved TV doctor. Michael Mosley, a regular face on programmes such as This Morning, disappeared earlier this week while hiking on a Greek island during a holiday with his wife, Clare.

The grim discovery was made near Agia Marina on Symi, where the body, believed to have been there for some time, was located in rugged terrain following a major search operation involving emergency services. The find came just hours after Michael's wife Clare expressed her unwavering determination, stating: "We will not lose hope."

Speaking to Sky News, Antonios Mystilovlou , the local cameraman who discovered the body this morning, was visibly distraught as he recounted the moment they realised the body matched Dr Michael Mosley's description. He described how they used an iPhone to take a picture of the screen and zoomed in to confirm it was indeed a man "lying down" with "his hand on his belly".

Overcome with emotion, he confessed: "The description is exactly of the guy we were looking for." Antonios said he was on a boat in the morning and thought he had seen something in the rocks. He returned to the marina about 10 minutes later and looked more closely at his footage before realising what he was looking at. "There was the body. He was laying down with his hand on his belly and he's carrying his bag in his other hand," he told Sky News.

In response to the Sky video interview, one user wrote: "This is a tragic and heartbreaking situation. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Dr. Michael Mosley. We hope that they are able to find some comfort and peace during this difficult time."

Another commented: "This is just too sad. I really feel for his family and the people who found him."

Meanwhile, a third shared: "So very sad, seemingly so close to getting help and shelter too at Agia Marina. The dangers of the sun and heat. I have passed out many times. It's dangerous and happens quick without warning... thinking of Michael Morley's family. Was hoping for a positive outcome."
