The BBC has issued an apology to the Princess of Wales after using an incorrect title in its coverage of Remembrance Day.

During a solemn appearance at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, the broadcaster repeatedly referred to the Princess by her maiden name, Kate Middleton, a title not used since her 2011 wedding.

Royal fans online slammed the broadcaster, calling it out as disrespectful.

One wrote: "Am I missing something? Is the BBC now not just left-wing but also republican? 'Kate Middleton' ?? ??? How bl**y disrespectful. This woman keeps calling her Kate Middleton FFS!"

The BBC issued an apology.

In a statement, it said: "During our coverage of memorials to commemorate Armistice Day we mistakenly referred to Catherine, Prince of Wales as Kate Middleton; these were errors during hours of live broadcasting for which we apologise.

"Throughout our Armistice Day coverage more broadly, we referred to Catherine by her correct title."

A royal insider suspects that Andrew's departure from Windsor could pave the way for Prince Harry's return.

Former royal photographer Ian Pelham Turner suggests that King Charles and Prince William have reached an understanding whereby Andrew's departure would make William more receptive to Harry's potential return.

He said: "I think William feels very aggrieved at Harry. So Charles has done a trade-off."

The disgraced royal was spotted riding in the grounds of Windsor Castle this morning. It is the first time that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been seen in public after he was stripped of his Prince title as a result of his connections to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The former prince looked stressed as he spoke to a female who was out riding alongside him.

Andrew has publicly denied meeting his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, but a photo from 2001 shows his arm around her when she was 17.

The photograph was used as evidence for claims against Andrew, but he denied them and said the photo was falsified.

Princess Kate is 'urging' Prince Harry to come back home, without Meghan, in hopes of drawing a line under the family feud. 

A source told Heat: "Kate’s tried everything to get William to soften on Harry, and Meghan as well, but there’s just no moving him,

"Her hands are tied, so in the spirit of being practical, she’s urging Harry to come back without Meghan on his next trip, as proof that he’s his own man and not joined at the hip with his wife.

"She believes it’s the only way he can start rebuilding his reputation in William’s eyes. Kate is trying to keep a bridge open for Harry before it’s too late but it does feel a little insurmountable. William’s anger and mistrust just runs so deep."

The Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to attend the Royal Variety Performance on the night of Wednesday, November 19, Kensington Palace has announced.

The annual event will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London, and will be the first time the pair have attended the event in two years.

The show will be hosted by Jason Manford and feature performances from the likes of Jessie J, Harry Moulding, and a 40th-anniversary celebration of Les Misérables.

Princess Beatrice, daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, reveals that she felt “incredibly lonely” after the birth of her daughter Athena Elizabeth Rose on January 22.

The princess has teamed up with Borne, a charity dedicated to premature birth research, to campaign for more research into the causes.

Speaking on the special edition of The Borne Podcast, she said: “I think so often, especially mums, we spend our lives, you know, feeling we have to be perfect to do this.

“And sometimes, when you are faced with that moment of learning that your baby’s going to come a bit lonely, it can be incredibly lonely.”

Athena Elizabeth Rose was born several weeks early, after doctors warned Beatrice at the end of 2024 that premature arrival was a possibility.

Andrew Mountbatte Windsor will be appearing before the US Congress over his connections to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The former prince was sent a letter by members of Congress requesting that he explain his "long-standing friendship" with Epstein, just days after King Charles removed him from the Windsor Estate and stripped him of his royal titles.

Royal Expert Phil Dampier told The Sun: "Just when you think it can’t get any worse for Prince Andrew, it seemingly does. He’s had his title stripped away from him by the King, and now he’s got this summons from a congressional committee in the States.

"I don’t think he’s actually been ordered or can be compelled to go to this committee. I certainly don’t think it’s likely that he’s going to travel to the United States.

"I think that’s about, as likely as me flying to the moon, to be honest. I know that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, as he is now, is terrified that if he goes abroad, he might be arrested and extradited to the States."

Meghan Markle has been accused of "insulting" the UK with her latest move of not wearing a poppy during Remembrance weekend. The 44-year-old stepped out for a few events last weekend, with Prince Harry proudly sporting a poppy on his smart black suit on Saturday evening.

The couple, who were two of the 300 guests invited to Kris Jenner's 007-themed 70th birthday on November 8, also stepped out at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala earlier that day. Meghan's decision to not wear a poppy caused major uproar, with sources even having to voice the real reason due to the backlash.

Writing for GB News, royal expert Lee Cohen has now said, despite the sources comment, that Meghan's decision is "insulting" to the UK.

He wrote: "Meghan's relationship to Britain appears purely transactional - when it suits her. When respect requires effort or humility, she demurs."

Meghan reportedly did not wear a poppy as they are not as accessible to get in the US.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor reportedly showed his true colours when he  left Sarah Ferguson on the floor after a fall when she was pregnant, a former friend of the duchess has revealed. It is believed that on the evening of the fall, which happened outside Harry’s Bar in Mayfair, Andrew had just found out about his then-wife’s affair.

A former classmate of Prince William said the future King left everyone in hysterics with what he wanted to be when he grew up. Actor and comedian Humphrey Ker attended Ludgrove School in Berkshire with William, and went on to attend Eton with the Royal Family member too. He recalled one particiularly funny moment at Ludgrove when everyone was asked to write a few sentences about what they wanted to do when they were older.

While it was originally believed this was to be in the UK, it was revealed just last week that the former duchess could actually be catching a flight to her new home… in Portugal.

While the resort is described as “intimate”, and is a hotspot for famous faces, I think there is somewhere that would be much better for Sarah to go if she wants a private life from now on, away from the scandals and the spotlight.

Buckingham Palace had to rush to fix a social media blunder this morning after they made a mistake in their latest social media post. On Monday, Buckingham Palace uploaded a post to X about Duchess Sophie’s ongoing trip overseas.

However, in the first upload of the post, the Palace wrote “this week” when talking about The Duchess of Edinburgh’s time in Peru, which was actually last week. They quickly fixed the error and uploaded the new post, removing the comment of when the engagements were held.

Princess Anne was hailed as the “ultimate antidote” to disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after embarking on a high-profile tour overseas last week. 

The Princess Royal spent six days abroad visiting Australia and Singapore, and carried on with her engagements in what was seen as a welcome distraction from the Royal Family’s headache regarding the former Duke of York back in England.

Anne visited Australia first for four days before heading to Singapore for two days, and her schedule was packed. 

But despite the rainy weather, she carried out all her engagements with grace and dignity.

"The Duke of Sussex spent two days in Canada at the start of the month to mark Remembrancetide, with the trip announced just as his brother, the Prince of Wales, arrived in Brazil for a five-day trip showcasing his Earthshot Prize. The timing of Harry’s trip was seen as a deliberate attempt to overshadow his estranged brother, but his team insisted that the Palace had been notified of the trip in advance.

"But now, both Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace refute this, saying they had received no advance notice of the duke’s trip."

Meghan Markle’s Christmas promotion of her festive As Ever range has left royal fans disappointed over the neutral hues, following her latest video on social media. 

The Duchess of Sussex appeared in a new video over the weekend, uploaded by her brand on Instagram.

Meghan, dressed in an olive green-toned ensemble, can be seen beaming while placing a present in a beige stocking hanging from a fireplace before clasping her hands together and looking away.
