The filmmaker who created the new video released by Princess Kate on Monday has said it was a “true honour”.

Will Warr, creative director of Detail Films, filmed the video in Norfolk last month while the family were on their summer holiday.

In the emotional video, where The Princess of Wales confirms she has finished chemotherapy, the family-of-five can be seen playing, laughing and cuddling in the sunshine in what is one of the most intimate videos ever released by the Royal Family.

Since the video was made public at 4.30pm on Monday, filmmaker Will Warr has taken to social media to share how special it was for him to take on the project.

He wrote on his Instagram: “It’s always an honour to produce films for @princeandprincessofwales, but this one was particularly poignant.

“Thank you to The Princess of Wales for trusting me to create this.”

Warr, who is based in London, also commented on the video shared by The Princess of Wales on the family's own official social media channels.

In a public comment to her and the family, Warr wrote: “A total honour to be involved - thank you for trusting me to create this film with you.”

This video was not the first time Warr had been commissioned to create a special video of the family.

The filmmaker created another video for the couple in 2021 to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary, before returning and creating a video for the couple as part of the King’s Coronation last year.
