UK's favourite Royal Family member named in new power ranking - and it's not Kate

The poll shows that the British public still supports the existence of the monarchy, but they still are not fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

A new poll has revealed the most popular members of the Royal Family - withPrince Harry and Meghan Markle remaining near the bottom of the pile.

The YouGov survey of 2,025 UK adults found that Prince William edged out his wife Princess Kate at the top of the list.

The Prince of Wales came out with a 75 percent approval rating, while the Princess of Wales was just behind on 74 percent.

Princess Anne was the only royal to rival William and Kate with her 71 percent approval rating.

King Charles remains popular with the public as YouGov's poll had him with a 63 percent approval rating.

The monarch was disliked by 29 percent, giving him a net approval rating of +34.

Queen Camilla received a positive response from 49 percent of respondents while 38 gave a negative view.

The Sussxes are still polarising figures in the UK, with 60 percent giving an unfavorable opinion of Harry while 63 percent said they did not like Meghan.

Prince Andrew remains a deeply unpopular figure in the UK. He received a negative response from 87 percent of those surveyed while just five percent said they had a positive view of him.

Overall, 63 percent say they have a positive opinion of the Royal Family as a whole while 59 percent said the same of the institution of the monarchy.

Just 30 percent of Britons said they view the family negatively and 32 percent said the same about the monarchy.

Meanwhile, only 25 percent of respondents said they would abolish the monarchy.
