New Princess Kate video sparks royal fan frenzy with celeb pal's three-word comment

In a wonderful video congratulating the GB Olympians 2024 it was Princess Kate's celebrity friend who stole the show.

Prince William and Princess Kate's celebrity friend stole the show in a wonderful video led by the royal duo which showed the couple praising the GB Olympians as the sporting event Paris Olympics 2024, came to a close.

The Prince and Princess of Wales praised the athletes for their "immense dedication, heart and passion" and said they were looking forward to the Paralympics later this summer.

In a compilation of messages that showed former athletes and celebrities sending their good wishes and congratulations to the Olympians, the video message was opened and closed by entertainer and good friend of the royals - Snoop Dogg.

Royal fans went wild on social media as Snoop Dogg showed his admiration for the couple in a three-word comment referring to Prince William and "his lovely wife".

Royal fan @TRHDukeDuchess commented under the video on X writing: "I love how snoop dog says 'the prince and lovely wife'."

Another commented on how the artist was a massive fan of the Royal Family: "So amazing to put @snoopdogg in the intro. He is a massive Royal fan and made the OLYMPIC Great #snoopdog the Prince and his Lovely wife. Thank you."

X user @royal_lookbook said: "The Prince & his lovely wife." .......Snoop Dogg, 2024."

Another said they couldn't believe the rapper had featured in a video with royalty. They said: "Never in a million years would I have envisaged @SnoopDogg appearing in a video with the Prince & Princess of Wales. You are all FAB-U-LOUS!"

The footage, released last night saw the royals address the nation after the Olympic Games 2024 came to a close. The introduction to the film sees Snoop Dogg said: "Greeting loved ones", as it swiftly moves onto a close-up frame of Princess Kate and William who is seen sporting some heavy stubble. Kate continued: "From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB."

Other stars appearing in the clip, included David Beckham, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Kelly Holmes and US athlete Michael Johnson, who has been part of the BBC's Olympic coverage.

Snoop then finally signed off the star-studded video by holding his hands together and saying: "Thank you Great Britain, on behalf of Big Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife."

Snoop Dogg has been a regular fixture at this year's Paris Olympics delighting crowds as he toured the various events.

Days before he jetted to France's capital, in a UK media interview, he spoke about his bond with the late Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking to Capital FM's Jordan North, Snoop Dogg divulged that the late monarch also cherished his music, saying: "Well, the Queen was a fan too."

He then affectionately added: "Rest in peace to the Queen, that was my girl. You know what I'm saying? So, just may want to go up and, you know, see what you do."

The rap star served as a torchbearer and special correspondent for NBC Sports providing coverage of the entire international sporting event.

"I've been out here working the Olympics, talking to the athletes, to the families, and meeting the people and kissing the babies," he told NBC. "And doing the things that I do to politically stay correct, and just being Snoop Dogg. That's what I know how to do the best."
