Meghan Markle will 'always try to steal limelight' as survival rests on key thing
A royal author has claimed Meghan Markle as well as Prince Harry need to be in the spotlight because of one particular thing.
Meghan Markle as well as her husband Prince Harry will always try to "hog" the limelight as they could lose their "value" and "worth" otherwise, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seen their popularity massively drop in recent years, after their sensational departure from the Royal Family and move to the US in 2020.
Now royal author Tom Bower suggested the couple's damaged reputation cannot be salvaged and anything they will do will end up being criticised.
He told the Sun: "Well, right now if you're an American, you get very little by being next to people who are the subjects of so much criticism.
"I don’t think they can solve it, the momentum is either up or down.

"If they disappeared entirely from view, they lose credibility, lose value, lose worth, and if they're in public like the Tillman award or other awards that she has received or that ridiculous trip to New York where they were saying be chased by the paparazzi, they can only lose."
Prince Harry received the Pat Tillman Award for Service earlier this month amid huge backlash over his nomination.
Meanwhile, the Sussexes alleged that last year they and Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland were pursued by paparazzi after leaving the Women of Vision Awards at Manhattan’s Ziegfeld Ballroom in May which could have resulted in a "catastrophic" crash.
At the time, a spokesperson for the couple said: "This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two [police] officers."
The couple were initially mocked for their claims but earlier this year the New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed that the incident did take place.
The police department said in a statement: "We found the following: reckless disregard of vehicle and traffic laws and persistently dangerous and unacceptable behavior(sic) on the part of the paparazzi during the night in question."

Elsewhere, Mr Bower claimed the Sussexes have no "credibility" anymore either in Britain or the US.
He said: "There's no doubt at all that the Sussexes have alienated huge numbers of people not only in Britain, especially in Britain, but also now in California. They want to be aligned with famous people to improve their own status.
"And they're finding more and more people moving away from them. Because in America, they're far, far more transactional than in Britain. You know, what do I get by being next to Meghan and Harry?"
