The Princess of Wales made a return to the public eye on Saturday, with a sweet exchange with her husband spotted by a lip reader.

The Princess of Wales gave a four-word review of Trooping the Colour during a sweet chat with Prince William on the Buckingham Palace balcony, according to a lip reader.

The royal, who revealed that she was undergoing cancer treatment back in March, made a return to public life on Saturday when she attended this year's Trooping the Colour.

Princess Kate returned alongside her three children, who have also made no public appearances this year.

Kate delighted royal fans by confirming her attendance at the annual event on Friday - alongside a new photograph taken by Matt Porteous.

Despite her ongoing treatment, Kate appeared in high spirits on Saturday, with one lip reader pointing out an adorable exchange with William.

After the conclusion of the RAF Flypast, According to the lip reader, William said to his wife: "That was very good!"

As reported by the Mirror, Kate replied: "Very good, very nice!"

According to reports, Kate is said to have felt that Trooping the Colour was the ideal event for her return - especially as her children and the King were going to be there.

Taking to her article, the Daily Mail's Rebecca English wrote: "In order for the youngsters to be there and play a full role - riding in a carriage on The Mall, watching proceedings on Horse Guards and joining the family 'balcony moment' - Mummy needed to be there too to keep the 'kiddies' (as she calls her young brood) in check as Papa [ Prince William ] was on horseback."

With the royal's cancer treatment ongoing, it remains unclear when she will step out for another royal appearance.
