Former international rugby star, Mike Tindall, has given a rare insight into family life with his wife of almost 13 years, Zara Tindall. The couple first met in Sydney during England's victorious 2003 Rugby World Cup and Mike gave a six honest-word admission to fans about his family life.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine about his three children, Mia, 10, Lena, five, and Lucas, three, he said: "We're no different to other parents.."

He added: "Our weekends end up being about the kids and getting them to their sports. It's a mixture of rugby, hockey, swimming, gymnastics."

Still very much sporty family, Olympic medalist Zara, 43, is still a competing equestrian. Mike added: "I think sport gives so many things to kids, whether it's learning how to be a team member or determination. It has given Zara and me so much that we want to expose them to as many sports as we can."

It has long been speculated that the royal couple could actually make the move to Australia as it's where they first met and a place they consider their "second home".

But according to Mike, no such plans are on the horizon as the country is "so far away". He told Hello magazine: "We go to Australia every year for the Magic Millions racing event, and we try to get back to have lunch at the place where we met whenever we can.

"We love Sydney and have loads of friends there, so it's been an important city in our lives."

Despite the couple not holding any official royal titles and not receiving any financial help from the Crown, the duo are believed to be worth a staggering £30million as reported in Hello! Magazine. Through a combination of sporting accolades, endorsement deals, and TV appearances, Mike, 45, and Zara, 43, have various streams of steady income.

Mike Tindall is mainly known for his 17-year stint as a professional England Rugby star and he started playing professionally at the young age of 18 before retiring at 35. Like her mother, Zara is an equestrian star and competed in the London Olympics in 2012, obtaining a silver medal. Off the back of her sporting success, in 2020, she became a director at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Similar to her husband, she has obtained several endorsement deals with high-end brands such as Land Rover and Rolex.

The sporty pair recently stepped out on June 14 for a glamorous night out at a special screening of tennis star Roger Federer's documentary at the Odeon Luxe, Leicester Square.

Mike looked smart in a blazer jacket with white trousers and a matching shirt and tie, while equestrian Zara wore a little black dress by Rebecca Vallance.

Princess Anne's daughter teamed her embellished dress with a gold metallic bag from Strathberry and wore Aquazzura heels. She styled her blonde bob in a flicked-out blow-dry and had a smoky eye makeup look with a touch of lip gloss.

Like most of the royal family, the Tindalls are huge tennis fans and also attend Wimbledon often. The couple laughed with one another as they happily posed for photographs before the screening.
