Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are gearing up for a summer of "relaxing and having fun" at a "remote island" with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, a source has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly want to "get away" from all the drama involving the royals and will seek sanctuary at a location which is "in complete luxury" and has no "outside pressure".

A source told OK!: "As usual her [Meghan] and Harry celebrated with the kids [on July 4] but she wants to use the next couple of months relaxing and having fun after a stressful year so far.

"Meghan wants to get away with Harry and the kids to a remote island so they can just have fun as a family without any outside pressure and be in complete luxury."

This year saw the Sussex couple launch their rebranded website, Sussex.com and carry out a number of engagements in the US and abroad, while Meghan secured a new podcast deal and launched her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

Harry has been busy dealing with the Invictus Games and he also made two trips back to the UK, one of them to see his father, King Charles, who's been diagnosed with cancer, while both he and Meghan have been working on their latest Netflix shows, one which focuses on polo and another which focuses on cooking, the latter of which has reportedly finished filming.

But now the Montecito-based couple are looking forward to two months of relaxation with their children as well as Meghan's 43rd birthday surprise in August.

The source added: "Archie and Lilibet are at that age now where they can do more adventurous stuff and Meghan has even talked about a trip to Disneyland as she knows they will be well looked after there and how much the children would love it.

"Lili is very into Disney princesses right now and would be in her element."

Meghan is also said to be focused on spending more time with her friends on "girly trips" and "pampering weekends" as she's fully aware of the "busy autumn" coming up with "lots of new work commitments."

The source explained: "As much as family time is the priority, Meghan also wants to spend more time with her friends and do some girly trips away and have a pampering weekend.

"She’d also like her and her friends to also go on a trip somewhere with the kids, maybe a bit of glamping in one of the National Parks."

They added: "[...]She just wants to concentrate on family and friends this summer as she won’t have as much time for it in the run-up to the end of the year,” our source said.

"Plus it’s her birthday in August but she’s letting Harry arrange that and surprise her with something as he has always done."
