Prince George takes after his father as he wields mallet at polo with Princess Charlotte
PRINCE George showed he takes after his father Prince William as he played with a mallet at a charity polo match yesterday.
Kate Middleton entertains Prince Louis at the memorial polo game
George, five, and his siblings Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, one, turned out with Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, to watch William, 37, in the match. At one point George appeared to be having fun playing with a mallet, just like his polo-loving dad.
William went head-to-head with Prince Harry, 34, in the charity game at the Billingbear Polo Club in Berkshire.
Pictures show the competitive pair in action on horses as a crowd of spectators cheered them on.
Meghan Markle, 37, also attended with her son Archie, who was born in May.
It was a rare joint appearance for the two couples who have faced ongoing rumours of a rift.
During the family day out, George enjoyed kicking a football around with Charlotte as William played polo.
And Louis was spotted running along the sidelines before Kate picked him up, later putting on his mum’s sunglasses in another cute moment.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex doted on her two-month-old son.
She put the recent dramas of Archie’s secret christening and the Wimbledon photo row behind her for the outing.
The Sussexes’ approach to privacy has prompted a backlash after they decided not to reveal the names of their son’s godparents and following claims a royal protection officer asked a Wimbledon fan, who was photographing Serena Williams, not to take pictures of Meghan.
The polo day is the first time the Cambridge children have been seen out with their cousin Archie.
The teams were competing for the Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Polo Trophy, named after the former owner of Leicester City who died in a helicopter crash in October.
It was a close match with William’s team winning 7-6.
The event raised £1million for charities supported by the brothers, including the Invictus Games Foundation and The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.
