The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will welcome a Royal baby next year.
Kensington Palace said in a statement: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.
"Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."
Members of the Royal family, including the Queen, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are all said to be "delighted" for the couple.
How will the royal baby be related to the Queen?
Meghan and Prince Harry’s baby will be the eight great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.
“Baby Sussex” will also be the grandchild of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, and have a step-grandmother in Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
The Royal baby will become the seventh in the line to the British throne, after dad Prince Harry.
Prince Charles, father of Prince Harry is the next in line to the British throne, while older brother William is the second, followed by his children.
The baby will also be directly related to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they will be uncle and auntie to the new child.
Immediate cousins will include Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The baby will also be related to great-aunt Princess Anne and great uncles Princes Andrew and Edward.
On Meghan’s side, Baby Sussex will have Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle Sr as grandparents.
Meghan’s siblings, Samantha and Thomas Markle Jr will be the child’s aunt and uncle.
When is the Royal baby due?
So far Kensington Palace has only revealed that the baby is due in Spring 2019.
However, as the news was made public it can be expected that Meghan has had her 12-week scan and is at least three months along already.
If Meghan is three months along, chances are the baby will be born in late March or Early April.
The exciting news comes just hours after Meghan and Prince Harry touched down in Sydney for their first major international tour.
The newlyweds arrived on Monday ahead of a 16-day tour, which will take them to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
