A 3m parasol with a stylish twist has had almost £50 shaved off the price in a surprise deal from Dunelm. The shopping giant recently held a summer sale that ended last week, but eagle-eyed buyers can still pick up a bargain, with the odd product still reduced.

The 3m Shanghai Cantilever Parasol, comes in a striking peacock colour - a stylish upgrade on the dull shades many outdoor umbrellas tend to be. A price history checker shows the parasol is usually £99, but it can currently be picked up for half-price at £49.50.

It’s made from metal, polyester and plastic, with a crank mechanism for easy opening. Dunelm says it’s the “perfect choice to protect you from the sun”, while many of the reviews left so far have been singing its praises.

One said: “Love it, really sturdy with weights on. Easy to assemble, great value for money.” Another said: “Very pleased with the umbrella, very sturdy and well made, I love the colour and the cost was good.”

A third added: “Easy to put together, easy to use. The only downside is the colour, not as peacock coloured as the egg chair I purchased from you.

"It’s more green than blue! Really good price, delivery was excellent but all in all it does what it says on the tin!”

However, not everyone was thrilled. Another buyer wrote: “Works totally fine, just disappointed at the colour! It was described as a peacock green/teal colour. It just looks like a boring forest green garden umbrella.”

A further dissatisfied customer said: “Not holding on its own. It couldn't stand on its own, falls over.” Elsewhere, Amazon sells a 3m Cantilever Parasol Umbrella that’s a bit more expensive at £79.97, while Argos stocks a budget-friendly 2m parasol for £35.
