Peace lilies must be moved today as UK heatwave hits - or risk major damage
Peace lilies need to have the right environment to thrive. The hot, sunny days ahead could pose a risk.
Peace lilies are fairly easy plants to care for provided they have the right environment. However, with the UK set to experience a heatwave in the coming days with temperatures predicted to reach as high as 28C in parts of the country, you may need to adjust your peace lilies spot in your home. Experts from Gardeners World explain that peace lilies are happiest in "bright, indirect light".
Peace lilies placed on a shelf or table which experiences direct sunlight could begin to suffer - especially as the long, sunny days increase.

"Avoid direct sunlight," warned the experts from Pennington Law and Garden. "[It] can burn peace lily leaves."
If you keep your peace lily in a location where it experiences direct sun you might notice signs of sun scorch.
This often begins at the tips of the leaves, which will turn brown and dry. The brown patches can continue to extend further down the leaf, turning the entire thing brown, unless you amend how much sunlight your peace lily is getting.

Though sunlight is essential, it's best your peace lily is in a spot that is bright but not constantly baking in the sunshine.
As the weather heats up, and the inside of your home does too, experts also recommend increasing your usual watering schedule.
Peace lilies don't have a set watering schedule, as it can vary depending on its environment, but on average they like to receive around one inch of water once a week.
During warmer spells, you may need to water it twice a week.
One of the best ways to test whether your peace lily is parched is by feeling the soil.
If the top one inch of your plant's soil has dried out, then it's a good time to give it a little more water.
As these dramatic plants also enjoy moisture, it's worth sprinting the leaves with water throughout the summer season to keep your peace lily hydrated and healthy.
