Clean your garden patio using £2 ingredient without the need for a jet washer

The list of jobs is endless when it comes to cleaning. However, if you're lucky enough to own a garden then you'll know the shared pain of cleaning your patio.

But cleaning experts have shared a nifty £2 hack to get your patio gleaming and you don't need a jet washer.

Even better the trick is chemical-free so you won't be dealing with any harsh products in your garden.

This is according to those at Tombola who have shared a cheap time-saving trick to get your patio ready for the summer.

Despite, some people already owning a jet washer it can be a pricey alternative to get your patio gleaming.

However, a £2 bottle of white vinegar will work just as well and only takes 20 minutes to do.

The website reads: “If you can’t afford a pressure washer or don’t have an outdoor tap, you might be wondering how to clean your outdoor paving.

“You can do it with white vinegar (costing less than £2) and a strong gardening brush.”

All you have to do is start clearing your patio from any plants or garden ornaments that might be in the way.

Next, make sure to sweep any dirt from the patio.

The website continues: “Mix half white vinegar and water together, let it sit for around 20 minutes and then scrub and rinse it away.”

Meanwhile, other experts have suggested other homemade solutions. According to Christies Landscapes, they suggested mixing vinegar with baking soda.


The experts said: "When they are mixed with water, they can be a powerful cleaning agent. Also, they’re both safe for your pets and plants."

The acid from the vinegar will lift and get rid of the dirt with the use of a brush instead of a pricey pressure washer.
