Used cars up to a third cheaper with over £10,000 off popular Range Rover and Volvo
Second-hand used cars from top brands such as Land Rover, Volvo and Fiat is available at major discounts in 2024.
Popular used cars have seen price tags slashed by over £10,000, according to new data from AA Cars.
Three-year-old models produced by Land Rover and Volvo top ten list of discounts with up to a third axed off valuations compared to last year.
According to the statistics, prices for a luxurious Range Rover Evoque are down by a whopping 32.5 percent over the past 12 months.
Examples now stand at around £30,963, down almost £15,000 on the £45,861 last summer.
The Fiat 500 has recorded the next biggest drop since last year with a 32.5 percent decline to stand at £11,259.
The Volvo XC40 was next with a dramatic £12,000 drop over the past 12 months meaning buyers can secure stunning savings.
Values for the machine were down 31.8 percent with models now priced around £25,796 compared to £37,797 back in 2023.
James Hosking, Director of AA Cars stressed price reductions will give buyers an instant saving on their purchase.
There are also encouraging signs about how three-year-old models might hold onto their value in future with four and five-year-old models barely changing price over the past year.

He explained: “With the prices of many popular, highly reliable nearly-new models falling sharply, budget-conscious drivers looking for an upgrade will find it easier than ever to explore newer and more advanced models, as the rules of supply and demand are coinciding to give them better value for their money.
“But whatever your budget and whatever model most takes your fancy, prospective buyers should always explore several options, find out a good baseline price for their chosen model and spec while also factoring in how the vehicle’s age and mileage might impact its value.”
According to AA Cars, the Kia Niro has seen the fourth fastest decline with 29.5 percent slashed from prices to stand at £19,678.
The Vauxhall Mokka was next with a 28.2 percent decline followed by the Peugeot 2008 with a 27 percent drop.
Vauxhall Corsa models were down 26.8 percent with Mercedes A Class vehicles dropping by 26.6 percent.
The Renault Captur and MG ZS rounded out the top 10 with valuations down 25.7 percent and 25.3 percent.
