House of Cards season 4: Neve Campbell joins Kevin Spacey in Netflix drama
SCREAM and Party of Five star Neve Campbell has signed up for the new season of Netflix drama House of Cards as a regular member of the cast.
House of Cards is Neve Campbell's most high profile TV role in years
While details remain sketchy over what role the 41-year-old actress will be taking on, it is believed that she will be playing a new aspiring First Lady to rival the ambitions of Robin Wright's Claire Underwood.
The part will be one of the Neve's most high profile TV roles in recent years, she has previously made guest appearances on Grey's Anatomy and Mad Men but she is best known for many of her Nineties characters.
There have also been hints that the show will introduce a new, younger couple vying for the White House, according to US entertainment site Deadline.
The new power couple will be rivals to Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and Claire, who split up at the end of the last season following a disastrous attempt at diplomacy in Russia.
House of Cards creator and executive producer Michael Dobbs told Express.co.uk last month that the forthcoming season will feature "more wickedness", suggesting that there is to be plenty more Machiavellian scheming that before on the show.
Although he remained tight-lipped on just how long Frank can survive without Claire, their dynamic is likely to be a key part of season four given that their relationship is the heart of the show.

Michael, 66, also suggested that Frank could be getting his comeuppance as well - and perhaps it could be sooner than later.
"Oh, all politicians get their comeuppance at some point but the question is whether they survive and come back for more. Frank in season three said 'I’m on the way out, I’m not going to stand for re-election' and then we discover by the end of season three perhaps he’s changed his mind. So you can always expect the unexpected in politics," Michael explained.
Filming on season four of the wildly popular series is due to be getting underway soon with the show set to return to Netflix in 2016.
