Tess Daly has reportedly needed her husband Vernon Kay "more than ever" before, following the recent controversies surrounding Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC series returned for its first live show last weekend with Tess and Claudia Winkleman back on hosting duties, all 15 dancing duos performing and the four judges back in their hot seats.
While the studio was seemingly filled with an uplifting atmosphere, a source has said the show's hosts had to "put on brave faces" due to worries about the new season.
Following last year's series, Strictly's former professionals Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima were axed after allegations of misconduct in rehearsals.
Giovanni has strongly denied all allegations against him and has taken part in an internal investigation, where he's told fans he's confident that he'll clear his name.
Graziano was accused of kicking and spitting at his 2023 partner Zara McDermott. The dancer admitted to kicking her and apologising at the time, but has denied that he spat at her.
As the show moves on from the scandal, a source told New! Magazine that Vernon has been Tess' rock behind-the-scenes.
They said: "She's so pleased that she's got Vernon by her side, being her cheerleader and picking her up when she's down or worried.

"He knows how much Strictly means to her and he's promised to be by her side throughout.
"It's not always been easy and there were times when she thought she couldn't carry on.
"But, she knows she couldn't do life without him and needs him more than ever right now as she goes through one of the toughest periods of her career."
Ahead of the live shows kicking off, Vernon showed just how much of a supportive husband he is, in a sweet note penned to Tess.
In the handwritten message, which she shared on Instagram, he wrote: "Good luck! 20 years amazing! Congrats We love you. Very Proud. Vern xxxxx."
The couple married back in 2003 and together they share two daughters; Phoebe, 19, and Amber, 14.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.15pm on BBC One.
Vernon will also be on a special edition of Loose Women today from 12.30pm.
