Nick Knowles reveals Strictly Come Dancing injury

Nick Knowles has been signed off by doctors and revealed that he is able to perform this Saturday on the dancefloor. The DIY SOS presenter faced an anxious wait to be declared fit after he injured his shoulder this week.

Sharing the news on X, formally known as Twitter, he said: "It’s official and I can’t quite believe it but we are dancing on Saturday.

"Luba is a miracle worker - we’ve had a day and a half to learn the dance! American Smooth here we come."

Nick's time on the show was thrown into chaos when he suffered a shoulder injury whilst changing a tyre on his Range Rover. He is expected to perform an American smooth to Blur's Parklife on Saturday night.

Last weekend, the TV star and his dance partner Luba danced a Jive to Starship's We Built This City. Their performance landed the pair in third last place, ahead of Paul Merson, Pete Wicks and Toyah Willox.

Speaking of his relief, Nick said to his fans on Instagram: "We've had an interesting couple of days, full of scans and physios and people helping me. Everyone's been amazing.

"Thank you for all your messages of support. We will see you all on Saturday where we'll be dancing the American Smooth to 'Park Life' by Blur."

One of his fans commented: "That’s great news! Can’t wait to watch you both. Good luck!" A second typed: "Yay well done! Looking forward to the dance on Saturday."

A third said: "YESSSSS!!! PRAISE THE LORD! WELL DONE NICK! WEEK 2 HERE WE COME!!!"
