The excitement around a possible Oasis reunion is building as Liam and Noel Gallagher remain in the spotlight, but Noel has voiced a sombre thought about his future. The iconic 'Wonderwall' singer, at 57, has pondered over his potentially limited lifespan, candidly stating that reaching the age of 60 would be a stroke of luck.

Noel contrasted his own health with the vigorous Mick Jagger, who continues to perform energetically even at 81. Speaking on Matt Morgan's podcast, Noel remarked, "Just because Jagger is mincing around at 103 doesn't mean everyone can."

Further discussing the Rolling Stones' longevity, he added, "Well, I mean, they've [the Rolling Stones] got to be pushing, what, 70 now, innit? I mean, the way I feel f*****g now, I mean I'll be f*****g lucky if I make it to 60."

Noel has previously contemplated on his life, telling BBC Radio 1 in 2022, "Do I want to live another 50 years? No. Just think how s*** the world is now. I would rather not live through it. At 75 I want to go."

As he reflects on his coming years, Noel acknowledges that a few adjustments might be in order after gaining some weight, something he links to his drinking habits, reports the Mirror.

"I could do with getting off the booze, let's put it that way," he blended in.

Noel's remarks came on the heels of being booed on stage earlier this month after revealing an Oasis reunion wouldn't be on the cards for the next two years.

The singer-songwriter and frontman of High Flying Birds made headlines at the Y Not Festival when he doused cold water on a fan's burning question about when he and his estranged brother Liam would revive the iconic Oasis sound.

Cool as a cucumber, Noel stated: "When are we going to see you? In 2025 or 2026? The answer is neither."

However, reports suggest otherwise as the Mirror has verified that Oasis are gearing up for a monumental reunion next year, marking their first performance together since Paris 2009.

Indeed, the Gallagher brothers are reportedly back in conversation, closing the book on a feud spanning decades.

During their hiatus, Noel launched High Flying Birds, while Liam found new rhythms with Beady Eye, followed by his solo ventures.

Amidst Noel's sombre musings over his mortality, one must ponder whether these reflections have nudged him towards mending bridges with Liam.
