Strictly Come Dancing couple 'bound to' find romance in new series, says ex pro dancer
Former Strictly star Brendan Cole has predicted a number of outcomes for the upcoming series, which is due to kick off on Saturday 13 September.
There could be romance on the cards developing for one couple on the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, according to ex professional Brendan Cole.
The new series, which is set to begin on Saturday 14 September, will see a brand new line-up of celebrities taking to the dancefloor in a bid to win the Glitterball Trophy.
The New Zealand professional dancer, who spent 15 seasons on Strictly Come Dancing, had his say with Sky Vegas in an exclusive interview to discuss his views on the new contestants.
“Romance happens in every series," he said. "There’s always someone who falls for somebody, whether it’s two contestants, two pros or pro and contestant that fall in love. Thirty people are all working of close proximity to each other. You’re bound to find two people that find each other attractive.
“As we’ve seen from the last 22 years, only three couples have got married and the rest fizzled out with a big bang.”

Over the last 20 years of the show, relationships have been broken, whilst others have been formed.
Every year there is speculation surrounding which Strictly stars have fallen for the ‘curse’ of the show, where the celebrity has fallen for their dance partner.
Gemma Atkinson, who has starred in Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, got engaged to Gorka Marquez in 2021. They are now the proud parents of two children.
Similarly, Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec both met as professionals in 2010 and are now married with a daughter, Lyra Rose.
Countdown hostess and maths graduate Rachel Riley was already married when she was partnered with dancer Pasha Kovalev, however the marriage lasted for only a year.

After her divorce in 2013, Rachel and Pasha started dating and were married in 2019 in Las Vegas. On 15 December 2019, Riley gave birth to a baby girl, and then gave birth to her second girl in 2021.
Meanwhile, YouTube star Joe Sugg had never been in a serious relationship until he met professional dancer Dianne Buswell. The pair made it to the 2018 final on the show, but narrowly lost out on the title.
Their loss did not mean the end of their partnership, as the couple announced their romance shortly afterwards.
What's more, Stacey Dooley has been dating her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton since spring 2019. They welcomed their baby daughter Minnie in January 2023.
