Kirstie Allsopp issued a warning to Kate Middleton after she shared a sweet photo of her eldest son Prince George as the royal marked a new milestone. The new photograph of Prince George taken by his mother to mark his 11th birthday is in black and white and the young royal is seen sporting a white shirt paired with a smart jacket and trousers.

The Location, Location, Location presenter, 52, hit out at the "ridiculous fuss" made earlier this year after the Princess of Wales, who tried to edit herself into a picture with Prince George, Louis and Princess Charlotte on a special Mother’s Day wish, was forced to apologise for using editing tools.

In a six-word response, Kirstie said she was grateful Kate was not "put off" taking photos of her young family, following the recent furore earlier this year.

Taking to X, the Channel 4 favourite retweeted the adorable photo of the young royal, which was captioned: "Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today!"

Kirstie said: "Good to see that all the ridiculous fuss earlier this year didn’t put The Princess of Wales off taking & posting pictures of her family, this is such a lovely shot."

While royal fans praised the photo, the presenter hit back at critics, who issued similar complaints.

One X user wrote: "But why do they continue to dress him as an old man in a suit - Jeez he is a child - cringeworthy."

Kirstie fired back: "And you think at 11 he doesn’t make his own choices, many young people enjoy looking smart and grown up, I preferred dresses all my life."

Another complained: "Ridiculous fuss about what? You didn't need to put that bit, Kirstie."

"I felt that the fuss about edits made, something that people do to their own pictures everyday, was absurd & unkind and I don’t mind saying so," Kirstie replied.

Others delighted at the new photo of George, as one shared: "They grow so very quickly!"

Another mused: "A lovely photo of Prince George. Happy Birthday."

A third added: "She takes lovely photos. Long may she continue to do so."

Princess Kate gave birth to George on July 22, 2013, with the youngster being the eldest of the royal couple's three children.

The new release - which was taken by Princess Kate in Windsor earlier this month - has undoubtedly delighted royal fans, with many pointing out how "handsome" the young prince is.
