Rylan Clark has spilled the beans about how he nabbed a spot on Celebrity Big Brother, keeping it under wraps from The X Factor executives by lying about his activities on the crucial day of his interview.

Way back in 2012, Rylan emerged on The X Factor scene, showcasing his talent to the judging panel of Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, and Rita Ora. At that time, he turned heads with his flowing blonde tresses and his over-the-top reaction at the judges' houses, earning him a spot in reality TV history as one of The X Factor's most memorable moments.

After bowing out of The X Factor in week eight, Rylan quickly became a household name by winning Celebrity Big Brother 2023. Over the past decade, his star status has soared, leading him to roles such as hosting on BBC Radio 2 and as a presenter for ITV's This Morning.

On Jamie Laing's podcast, which aired on June 26, Rylan let slip details about his time on Celebrity Big Brother and his sneaky dealings during his ongoing stint on The X Factor.

In the candid podcast chat, Rylan confessed: "I can say this now, I don't care. I had my Celebrity Big Brother interview week five of X Factor when X Factor thought I was at the salon having my hair done."

His passion for the reality show was undeniable as he admitted: "This is my f***ing dream, like if I go next week don't matter, I'm going in Big Brother f**k the lot of you."

He also detailed how after his departure from The X Factor, the producers were on standby for him to jump into the Big Brother house, reports the Mirror.

The TV sensation cheekily evaded a direct question about his earnings from Jamie, quipping: "I would have done it for free, all I wanted was a husband and a Range Rover, that's all I wanted growing up."

He also opened up about his experience in the Big Brother house, describing it as therapeutic: "There's no photos, there's no people there's no-one wanting a selfie, it's just talking to people and living with people, and that's it. So, that was almost like therapy for me."

Fans of Rylan can't get enough of him, flooding social media with praise. One admirer commented: "I genuinely believe Rylan deserves all the success he's got. He's so funny and down to earth! " Another shared their personal encounter: "Met him in Malmo at Eurovision and he's the most humble man ever! Such a nice guy."

A third fan expressed sheer happiness for Rylan's achievements: "Could not be happier for Rylan and the career hes had, seems like such a genuine amazing guy."
