Rylan Clark ditched his clothes as he provided an update on his latest career move. The former X Factor star, who shot to fame back in 2012, posted to his Instagram account as he made a "naked" admission.

He complained about the hot weather as he explained that he had decided to strip off, as the 35-year-old shared an image of his bare legs next to some audio recording equipment. Teasing his 2.2million followers, Rylan wrote: "It's that hot I'm doing my #NakedDatingUK voiceover... naked."

The presenter added a little disclaimer to the post, as he quipped: "Don't worry it's my home studio." It comes as Rylan was announced as the presenter for a new dating show on Paramount Plus.

The Radio 2 star is fronting the saucy series, Naked Dating, which will see contestants looking for love, while living in a house together - All completely naked. The unusual show has already enjoyed success in the USA and Germany.

Previously taking to social media to promote the series, Rylan said: “Not only does it feature dating and drama, on top of that everyone will be totally starkers! You will not want to miss this.”

The show was filmed in South Africa, which meant the presenter and the show's team faced an unusual threat - Pirates.

Rylan previously spoke to the press about his fears of being kidnapped by the villains of the sea, as he explained: "I was out there for a month, and they are quite liberal, but the one thing I had to worry about was being a person of note from Europe — so a genuine concern was pirates.

"That sounds really crazy, but actual pirates were the biggest concern because we were on an island filming the show.

"Moving around at night when we were filming could have ended up with pirate boats coming to get me."

Thankfully, the TV star lived to tell the tale, explaining: "Apparently they never hurt you, they just want a bit of dollar." He also joked they wouldn't want to keep him hostage for too long, quipping: 'They’d get rid of me after 15 minutes.'"
