Strictly’s Gorka Marquez issues poignant family update as he admits to huge decision
EXCLUSIVE: Gorka Marquez has a new show coming up with Strictly colleague Karen Hauer but he ensures that work doesn't stop him spending time with his family.

Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez is a busy man with his work on the BBC Saturday night staple and an upcoming tour with fellow pro Karen Hauer, for which he is currently rehearsing.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk he admits that he has to plan everything meticulously to ensure he gets time with his family.
"Well, it's like, like time managment, you know. What is the priority of the time and what is the thing that I need to focus on? And planning ahead. That's why we're already planning a show for after the finals.
"Because [there are] so many jobs and also my family. So I want to plan everything so I know what I'm doing. And also it comes [down] to I now have to make decisions and choose what is the best thing to do [for my family]," he admitted.
Revealing that he hasn't accepted certain jobs to spend time with finace Gemma Atkinson and their two children he says: "I have to make decisions in life. If I do this show I'm not gonna do that one so I have time to spend time with the family and I can't do other things," he admitted.
Gemma and Gorka met when she competed on Strictly in 2017. Athough they were not partnered, they became firm friends off camera which then blossomed into romance.
They have been engaged since 2021 and now share two children - four-year-old daughter Mia and baby son Thiago, whose first birthday is this month.
They have documented their relationship on reality show Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens, which gave viewers an insight into their day to day lives as they both juggle their showbiz careers with family life.
Gorka's time management will be tested to the limits when he hits the road with Karen for their biggest ever show Speakeasy early next year.

There are already 30 dates confirmed and the duo will also make their West End debut as a duo with the date and venue due to be announced shortly.
Beginning in Feburary it will come right of the back of Strictly meaning he will be hugely busy for several months but he is really looking forward to it.
"I'm so excited to be going back on the road with Karen and seeing everybody across the UK. We’re going to immerse the audience in an undercover world of dance and I can’t wait!" he exclaimed.
