WATCH: Driver slams on brakes in wet weather - but you won’t believe what happens NEXT
VIRAL video has captured the moment a driver had an extremely lucky escape after they slammed on their brakes in the rain.
Driver miraculously avoids HUGE highway pile-up
The video was captured from another car as it approached a set of lights.
Rain was flecked on the camera lens and the roads were wet on a dreary grey day.
A van was travelling directly in front of the car filming.
There were two cars in front of the van, a black one in the same lane and a red one in the next lane over.

As the vehicles approached the set of lights, they changed from green to red.
This caused the two front cars to brake suddenly to a stop.
The driver of the van, travelling close behind the car in front, slammed on their brakes but it was too late.
They swerved out to the right, in the direction of the other stationary car.

The van did a complete 180 degree turn within inches of the car on the right
But instead of crashing into either of the sedans, the van did something unintentionally impressive.
Thanks to the slippery wet road, the van did a complete 180 degree turn within inches of the car on the right.
It came to a sudden stop facing in the opposite direction in the lane, as though it had parked right behind the red car.
The incredible - and accidental - driving trick has gone viral since the video was shared online.

Uploaded to image site Imgur, the footage has been viewed almost 50,000 times.
One viewer joked the van should “put it in reverse and carry on” driving.
Another user thought it was “awesome”.
