National Geographic Traveller Photography Competition stunning finalist photos unveiled
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELLER magazine unveiled the finalists of its 2020 Photography competition this week. Twelve photos were picked from the thousands of entries. These are those that made it.
National Geographic Traveller’s Photography Competition saw thousands of amateur and professional photographers submit beautiful photos taken all over the world. The participants had to submit images taken over the past year in one of four categories: Cities, Landscapes, Nature and People. This week the 12 finalists of the competition were announced.
The overall grand prize winner is set to be announced on Tuesday 25 August.
Pat Riddell, editor of National Geographic Traveller, said of the 2020 competition: “While the coronavirus pandemic has greatly affected our ability to travel, our desire to see the world is nevertheless undiminished.
“This year’s competition is a window on the world we hope to explore again as soon as it’s safe to do so, and is a reminder of the power and emotion that travel photography can capture.
“From spectacular wildlife to moving landscapes, the shortlist again demonstrates some of the UK’s best talent behind the lens.”
