Google Maps: Rider suffers embarrassing blunder after Street View scare - what happened?
A PERSON was left on the ground after a Street View scare sent her tumbling into a field, but how did this embarrassing incident take place?
Google Maps is a great tool for navigating your way across the globe. It is also increasingly being used by viewers to uncover some bizarre moments you might not expect.
A Reddit user came across a moment that left viewers laughing but could have caused a major injury.
On a sleepy road in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland, a shocking moment left one person face down in a field and Google Maps could largely be to blame for the blunder.
The scene unfolds on a country road, lined with shrubs and fields either side.
The sun shines overhead, and the surroundings seem mostly remote, except for what appears to be a horse rider up ahead.

As the viewer clicks towards the direction the horse is trotting in, suddenly an unexpected incident occurs.
The horse can be seen suddenly changing direct, its body movements appearing erratic.
The slick black creature can then be seen as it makes its move; each time the Google Maps camera moves along the horse is in a new position.
It can be seen bounding into a nearby field, the rider still safely on its back.

That is until she is no longer on its back anymore.
The unfortunate rider can be seen, first slanting to the right as though she is losing her balance before completely tumbling from the animal.
In a final scene, the horse can be seen some distance away in the field.
Its rider, on the other hand, is left face-down in the mud and grass.
Reddit users who saw the post reacted largely with humour.
One viewer wrote: “The rider on the ground with the horse taking off into the distance was hilarious.”
With another cheekily adding: “The end did it for me.”
However, while the moment may have tickled some viewers, the rider could have been severely hurt.

So, what could have caused such a dramatic moment?
Judging by the horse's sudden change in behaviour, it seems it received a fright, and given that the road was largely quiet except for the horse and Google’s car, it seems Google Maps could be to blame.
Luckily, another Reddit user points out that the driver may have felt some level of responsibility.
“You can see the driver got out of his car to help the person, what a guy,” the commenter writes.
Sure enough, as the user clicks forward some more, a man dressed all in black ca be seen between the hay bales helping the rider and her horse.
Judging by the rider's appearance, it seems they were left with nothing more than some red cheeks.
