Rajon Rondo: Lakers star BLASTED for poor conduct in Nuggets loss - This is BIZARRE
RAJON RONDO was caught distancing himself from his Los Angeles Lakers team-mates courtside against the Denver Nuggets and former NBA coach Mark Jackson ripped the former champion for his “unacceptable” behaviour.
LA Lakers 'made MISTAKES with their signings' says pundit
Any hopes of the Lakers reaching the playoffs this season have surely all been killed off following four straight defeats.
The loss against the LA Clippers on Monday night seemed to be the final nail in the coffin while last night’s game versus the Denver Nuggets was always going to be a tough match-up.
But there is still a level of expectation from Lakers fans to see their star players fighting until the end.
And part of that is seeing the team stick together through hard times.
However, Rondo gave another indication that he is distancing himself from the troubles in Los Angeles in the final seconds of the game last night.
Both sets of rosters take up seats either end of one side of the court, but cameras quickly picked up on something strange on the Lakers side.
While the likes of LeBron James and JaVale McGee took up their normal seats, Rondo could be seen sitting on his own at halfcourt in and amongst the fans.
And Jackson was enraged at the former NBA champion for his actions.
“Look where Rondo is sitting [at halfcourt nowhere near his team-mates], unless he’s coming into the game there’s no excuse for that,” he said during commentary on ESPN.
“I live in L.A. so I watch Lakers games, that can’t happen.
“For whatever reason, that can’t happen.
“In the last game it was Rondo and JaVale McGee.
“That cannot happen. That’s not a winning culture.
“He might be doing that for the right reasons - there’s no right reasons in my opinion.
“That’s unacceptable.”
