It's semi-finals day at the English Open after a set of four quarter-finals which were crammed with drama. Mark Selby, Mark Allen, Barry Hawkins and reigning champion Judd Trump all crashed out on a Saturday characterised by upsets.

Neil Robertson, Ishpreet Singh Chadha, Chris Wakelin and Wu Yize are still in with a fighting chance of netting the £100,000 top prize in Brentwood, with all four set to compete today (Sunday).

Wu 2-0 Singh

Wu Yize has taken control in this first-to-six-frame contest.

A scrappy second frame went the way of the Chinese competitor after he put Singh in a snooker he was unable to get out of.

Singh is attempting a fight-back in the third, however, and Wu knows this match is far from done.

Wu 1-0 Singh

Wu runs away with a tight first frame after forcing Singh into four fouls and sinking two reds to seal it.

He's also up early in the second.

Wu 0-0 Singh

Wu Yize and Ishpreet Singh Chadha are underway in Brentwood and the first frame is still up for grabs.

This pair have met once before, with Wu prevailing at last year's English Open.

The Chinese competitor has an early lead in the first frame but it's still all to play for.

English Open prize money

The four players who crashed out in yesterday's quarter-finals took home £13,200 from the Brentwood Centre.

The remaining quartet competing in today's semi-finals will earn at least £21,000 each.

The prize money increments increase sharply from then on.

Whoever loses in the final will pocket a healthy £45,000.

And the winner is set to take home a massive £100,000.

Plenty of incentive to win today, then.

Today's schedule

There are only two matches to play today but they should offer plenty for snooker fans to sink their teeth into.

Wu Yize and Ishpreet Singh Chadha are first up at 1pm (BST).

Neil Robertson and Chris Wakelin will then compete this evening, with their clash scheduled to start at 7pm.

Both ties will be won by the first player to six frames.
