Judd Trump, Mark Allen and Mark Selby are all in action at the English Open as the competition begins to enter its latter stages.

There will be no Ronnie O'Sullivan involved though, with the Rocket dumped out in the opening round of action, before threatening to quit the sport altogether

The seven-time world champions' exit has opened up his side of the bracket - something those vying for glory will be looking to take advantage of.

But anyone hoping to go all the way will likely have to get past competition favourite Trump first.

The recently named world No.1 has been in strong form already this week, with Trump eyeing up yet another competition win, having bagged an astonishing £500,000 at the recent Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters.

Express Sport brings you the latest scores as the matches come thick and fast, so follow our live blog below for the latest updates.

O'Sullivan casts doubt on his future after English Open defeat

Ronnie O'Sullivan has suggested he doesn't know how long he's got left in professional snooker, hinting his retirement could be just around the corner.

Speaking after his English Open round one exit earlier this week, O'Sullivan commented: “I'm absolutely useless, that's why.

"Forget about the Worlds. I'm not even bothered to be honest with you, if I'm going to play rubbish I might as well play left-handed.

"Play left-handed and enjoy it, but be useless, or play right-handed, be useless and not enjoy it. I haven't got long, I'm not going to deny it, I'm not playing well enough, there's no point in even worrying about it - I've just accepted it now which is quite a nice place to be really."
