Gabby Logan has revealed her son is less than impressed with her candid discussions about her sex life with husband Kenny.

The BBC presenter, 51, has been open about her intimate relationship with the former Scottish rugby star, particularly after his prostate cancer diagnosis in 2022 and subsequent treatment.

However, their 19-year-old son Reuben, who plays for Northampton Saints, has found himself the butt of jokes among his team-mates due to his mother's frankness during interviews about her marriage.

On her podcast The Midpoint, Gabby disclosed that Reuben has been relentlessly ribbed by his peers. She said: "He's like, 'Mum, can you stop talking about your sex life, because now I go into work, they play clips in the dressing room.

"It would be helpful if you could just shut up for a while'. And I'm like, 'Actually Reuben, next week's episode - just on that'," she joked, before clarifying: "We don't just talk about my sex life, can I just say!"

Kenny, 52, shared his prostate cancer journey on BBC Breakfast, alongside Gabby, telling host Sally Nugent he was shocked at the diagnosis given his lack of symptoms.

"I got a wellness check and sat down with the guy and he said, 'everything's fine but your prostate is high'. I got checked and within three or four months I had a biopsy," he recounted.

In a candid revelation earlier this year, he disclosed his prostate cancer diagnosis from February, expressing the shock he felt: "This year, in February, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer which was a huge shock. I decided to get it taken out and I'm probably 95 per cent back to normal.

"When you're told you've got cancer, I literally fell over. I didn't see it coming, no symptoms whatsoever. I had to go looking for it."

Discussing intimate details on his wife Gabby's podcast last year, he opened up about the impact of his condition on their sex life, admitting that recovery could be a slow process.

"Six months on, I would say I'm physically 100 per cent, mentally 100 per cent, feel good. From a sexual point of view, it's not consistent," he said.

"As the surgeon said to me, this could take 18 months. Within a month, I was getting movement, where he says, 'That's amazing'. So it's just not as consistent."

Gabby also spoke openly about her impatience regarding their sex life post-surgery during an appearance on Chris Evans' Virgin breakfast show, expressing regret over her attitude: "It's Kenny and I talking frankly about what was going to happen.

"Because there is a big risk of functionality and not being there. Erectile function can be massively affected and it might not come back.

"Kenny was very lucky and eventually it did, but it took a while. His wife wasn't as patient as she might have been."
