The Anfield outfit supposedly had a list of potential replacements and Fekir was deemed as the perfect player to fill the void after Philippe Coutinho joined Barcelona in January.
The Telegraph claim the club’s medical team would have been unable to recommend a deal to proceed or not.
Fekir’s injury issues are long-standing and he underwent a minor knee procedure in March.
Meanwhile, French football expert Julien Laurens thinks Liverpool missed out on a top player in not signing Fekir.

“He carried that team through, especially when they weren’t playing too well by being the main guy.
