Mohamed Salah: Liverpool star posts cryptic message on Instagram
MOHAMED SALAH has posted a cryptic video on Instagram days after suffering a serious shoulder injury in the Champions League final with Liverpool.
Mo Salah appreciates New York tribute post-injury
Salah walked off the pitch in Kiev in tears on Saturday evening after he was involved in a tussle with Sergio Ramos.
Egypt ace Salah picked up a shoulder injury which has thrown his World Cup plans in serious doubt.
The 25-year-old has since headed to Spain to undergo treatment on the injury in a bid to be fit for the tournament in Russia which starts in 15 days time.
But Salah has posted a cryptic video on Instagram which has got fans talking as it appears he could now be in New York.
The midfielder posted a short clip showing a wall mural of him in Times Square.
He is shown wearing a Egypt match shirt and beneath the mural it carries the message “Mo Salah #Largerthanlife”.
Salah simply captioned the video with: “#NewYork #TimesSquare.”
Messages of support came flooding in for the crocked Liverpool ace while some fans asked about his fitness.
One fan wrote: “Are you going to be at the World Cup?”
Another said: “Get well very soon hero.”
It had been feared the injury could keep Salah out of the World Cup, but a day after the disappointing defeat in Kiev, he said he was confident of making it to Russia.
“It was a very tough night, but I'm a fighter,” Salah wrote on Twitter.
“Despite the odds, I'm confident that I'll be in Russia to make you all proud.
“Your love and support will give me the strength I need.”
