Joey Barton: Luiz will be sold in January if Conte is still manager
That is the view of former Premier League star and talkSPORT pundit Joey Barton.
Luiz was left out of the Chelsea squad for the home Premier League clash against Manchester United yesterday.
The Brazilian is said to have had a row with manager Conte in training following the 3-0 Champions League loss to Roma last week.
Barton says Luiz and Conte are now in a race as to who leaves first and believes it will be Luiz if Conte is still in charge come the new year.

If Antonio Conte gets to January I expect David Luiz to be shipped out

“A lot of people have been saying Luiz has been great since he’s come back,” Barton said of the Chelsea man.
“I think he’s been better since he’s come back but I remember watching the footage in the build up up to us playing them last year, Burnley, and it was highlighted still how random he is.
“Some of the decisions he makes, playing in the back three in the central role, some of the decisions he makes, he was getting away with it because he had two people alongside him, two other centre-halves.
“When he played in a back four and he made the same decisions, he got punished.

“Clearly it’s not a question of ability with Antonio Conte, I think he’s taken him out because of something that’s been said.
“Banished from the training ground, left in the stands. Usually when that happens it’s a race now to see who lasts the longest.
“Whether you can outstay the manager as a player or you’ll be sold.
