Kevin De Bruyne made just three Premier League appearances for Chelsea
De Bruyne failed to break into Mourinho's first-team plans during his two-year stint at Chelsea.
Mourinho, now at Manchester United, openly criticised the 25-year-old's application in training, accusing him of "crying every day" as he was overlooked.
The Belgium international cost Chelsea £7million from Genk in 2012 and was offloaded to Wolfsburg two years later for £18m, having made just three Premier League appearances.

But after returning to England with Manchester City in 2015 for a club record £55m, De Bruyne has attempted to put the record straight about his time at Stamford Bridge.
"It is true that he said in the press that I wasn't doing what was needed in training," he told France Football.
"It was easy to say that because there was no-one to check it – the training sessions were closed to the public. But everyone knows I am not like that.

"I never let anyone put me down. I say what I have to say, with respect of course.
"But at that moment, I couldn't do anything because he would have said I was lying and afterwards he would have used it.
"Did I ask for training to be done in public? I said it, yes, but not to him personally."
