But Benfica have now apparently paid £4.3m to have the clause removed, which opens the door for Mourinho to bring Lindelof to Old Trafford.

The Manchester Evening News report Mourinho's interest in the Sweden international cooled due to the form of Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones.
But the Portuguese boss remains keen to bolster his ranks and will now attempt to bring Lindelof to the club in the summer.
Lindelof is valued at £38m and has impressed for the Portuguese outfit this season, keeping 12 clean sheets in 24 appearances.
